The Gay Men Project is a personal project by New York based photographer Kevin Truong. It is one of the single, largest collections of photographs and stories of gay and queer men in the world. I’ve spent the past three years traveling around the world photographing gay men with the hope of sharing our stories. So far I’ve photographed over individuals in 49 cities, 14 countries, and five continents. For the past two years Kevin Truong has traveled to cities across the world and photographed as many gay men as he can. So far he's photographed nearly men, in 15 cities, seven countries. When I first joined Positively UK as the Gay Men's Project Coordinator in , my hair was darker, my waistline was slimmer, and I had no idea how much this role would change my life. Our monthly support groups have seen men from all walks of life share meals, laughter, and tough conversations about what it means to live with HIV. My work has gone beyond our monthly meetups.
